With my own special blend of seasoning, these chicken breasts are perfectly seasoned and require very little oil to cook. Plus, they take only 15 minutes in the air fryer, making them a quick and easy option for any mealtime.

How To Make Air Fryer Chicken Breast

Start by patting the chicken dry using paper towels, without bothering to wash it. This is because washing the chicken can only lead to spreading bacteria around the sink and isn’t really necessary.

As your air fryer heats up to 375 degrees, you can proceed to rub the chicken all over with olive oil and seasonings. Alternatively, you may choose to use a cooking spray instead of olive oil.

Once the chicken is coated, place it in the air fryer basket and cook the chicken breasts for around 15 minutes. At the 10-minute mark, flip the chicken over to ensure even cooking and then let it finish cooking until it’s done.

Recipe Tips

  1. After cooking the chicken, allow it to rest for approximately 5 minutes. This is important because it allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, preventing them from spilling all over your cutting board.
  2. Please note that this recipe is intended to serve six, despite only utilizing four chicken breasts. The recommended serving size for chicken is four ounces, with the average chicken breast weighing between six and eight ounces. Generally, an air fryer can hold up to four medium-sized chicken breasts.
  3. If you want to double the recipe, you will need to cook two separate batches in the air fryer. However, it is absolutely possible to do so. Conversely, if you only need to feed two people, you can halve the recipe. Although, it is recommended to cook all four pieces of chicken and save some for hassle-free weekday lunches.
  4. You can feel free to use a different seasoning rub of your choice. Lemon pepper or Cajun spices are some great options that I love.

  • 2 pounds Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts 4 medium-sized breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika


  • In a small bowl, whisk together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Set aside.
  • Brush the chicken breasts with olive oil and sprinkle seasoning mix over both sides.
  • Place the chicken in the basket of the air fryer and cook at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
  • Flip the chicken over and cook for an additional 5 minutes or until the outside is golden brown and the inside is cooked through to 160-165 degrees F.
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
